About You

Are you an experienced Meat Processing Machine Operator in search of an exciting opportunity to work in a  great Company with trusted brands?

Do you have previous experience with raw meat, grinding, further processing and case ready lamb or beef?

 This is a Temp to Perm job, Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 2:15 pm in a meat processing plant / cold environment. After successful completion of a 3-6 month temporary basis through an Agency, you will be hired on permanently. The permanent job comes with company paid benefits and a pension plan with incremental increases based on performance, attendance and meeting expectations.


Reports To: Canadian Plant Manager - Toronto


The Machine Operator is required to ensure the safe, efficient operation of their machine(s). Responsible for maintaining prescribed quantity and quality of product produced. Other responsibilities include troubleshooting basic machine performance, making adjustments and calling for additional resources as required.

Job Duties:

  • Maintain high production numbers to meet customer orders
  • Produce product with an emphasis on quality and accurate customer specifications
  • Operate complex machinery safely
  • Follow running instructions
  • Ensure general housekeeping around the assigned area or request assistance as needed
  • Provide feedback and maintenance requests to improve machine performance
  • Complete all assigned Quality checks
  • Participate in training and cross training, improvement initiatives including health and safety and quality improvement
  • Adhere to all workplace safety policies, compliances and regulations
  • Use all required safety equipment, e.g. Steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses / goggles, etc.


  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Experience as a production machine operator preferred
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), preferably in a food manufacturing facility
  • Highly punctual
  • Able to work as a functioning member of a team

Work Conditions / Physical Demands:

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50lb
  • Work is performed in a combination of environments, including meat production room in temperatures of -1 to +4 degrees Celsius
  • Safety equipment is required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
  • Overtime as required
  • Repetitive tasks within a fast-paced environment
